Worthwhile Links: September 2014

Three noteworthy movies: Boyhood, Guardians of the Galaxy, Jodorowsky’s Dune, the last especially worthy of note as just a few hours after watching it pre-dawn on an airplane bound for Texas I was brunching a friend who volunteered the information (before I could tell her I had seen the flick) that she had met Jodorowsky many times, most recently a decade back in Paris, when he had given an animated, high-drama tarot reading to one of her group. Synchronicity!

And R (albeit out of alphabetical sequence) is for Rameshvaram , one of the most revered places of pilgrimage on the Indian subcontinent. September end marked my third (or maybe fourth) visit to Rameshvaram, which sits on an island just a few km from the far larger island of Serendib (Sri Lanka). A wonderful spot, radiating an ancient vibration. All glories to Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy!
